520 [PGBSC Blog] Officials

AAA Championships at UBC still has some room for officials to complete deck duties. This is a great way to continue on your sign off for your Level of Officiating and supporting your kids. It is highly encouraged to officiate outside of your home pool to learn and share knowledge. This meet is especially good because it is a AAA Championship meet and there are two pools going simultaneously.  The outside pool has very little seating - so now you can work on your tan in the sun and have a great spot to watch the athletes.

A few of us will be completing Referee and Starting duties so it would be nice to see some other Prince George faces join us on deck. Positions such as Electronics, Lane Timing, Turn Judge, Stroke Judge are available on different days.

If you are interested - a simple email to the Officials Coordinator in Vancouver will work.  Sandy Lockharts email is sandy@vancouverpacific.ca

See you down there.

Cheers

515 [PGBSC Blog] Time trial

To all the parents of swimmers in D3 and D2C

There is a time trial this Friday, June 14.  The warm-up begins at 5 pm and the time trial will start at 5:30.  Everyone who has a child participating must volunteer or your child will not be able to take part in this event.  There is a signup sheet on the Barracuda bulletin Board.  This is lots of fun for the children and every child gets a ribbon.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to send me an e-mail.

513 [PGBSC Blog] Officials in Kamloops

Kamloops still has some room for officials to complete some deck duties.  This is a great way to continue on your sign off for your Level of Officiating and support the kids.  It is highly encouraged to officiate outside of your home pool to learn and share knowledge.

Larry, Sheila, Marilyn and Kerim will be completing Referee and Starting duties so it would be nice to see some other Prince George faces join us on deck.  Positions such as Electronics, Lane Timing, Turn Judge, Stroke Judge are available on different days.

Rob Traynor - guru of electronics in Canada will be at the meet, so this is an excellent time to learn more about Meet Management and Electronics.

If you are interested a simple call or email to the Officials Coordinator in Kamloops will work.  Jason Ladyman.  250 828-2553 or email at jstieda@telus.net.
