698 [PGBSC] Kamloops

‎To all the Barracuda Parents who have traveled to kamloops. I received at SOS from the Kamloops. Director of officials for assistance. They have a need for stroke and turn judge, timers and chief timers. They hoped they could fill the positions locally but it is not looking so good. So if anyone could provide assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you are interested in helping. Gerogiegerula@telus.net

697 [PGBSC] Fwd: 3 RACES TO CONSIDER FOR SUMMER 2014

Hello
This information for everyone to consider
Webmaster

Dear Coach, Assistant Coaches and Club Administrators,

Can you please distribute the following information to your club members for their individual consideration (by email or club member communication)?

The organizers of the Heart of the Rockies Triathlon invite all club members and their families to consider the three events below for their summer race schedule.  More detailed information is available on our website:

            www.heartoftherockiestri.ca

YOUNG HEARTS TRIATHLON:  SATURDAY, JULY 12

A kids' triathlon scheduled the day prior to the Heart of the Rockies Triathlon in Invermere, British Columbia. Every finisher is a winner! The race focus is "fun" and the course is designed for kids ages 4 to 15.

HEART OF THE ROCKIES TRIATHLON:  SUNDAY, JULY 13

We offer Sprint and Olympic distance "Individual" events as well as an Olympic distance "Team" event in Invermere, British Columbia. All athletes are welcome, so whether this is your first triathlon race, you are en route to Ironman, or you want to compete on a team, come out and enjoy racing in the spectacular scenery of the Columbia Valley.

LAKE WINDERMERE OPEN WATER SWIM:  SUNDAY, AUGUST 10

This out and back swim in the magical waters of Lake Windermere will start at 8:00 am. Although Lake Windermere is a warm lake, wet suits are highly recommended. There is an option to swim either 2 km (10 yrs and up) or 5 km (12 yrs and up).

For some history on the past 31 consecutive years of hosting the triathlon in Invermere, check out TSN's video coverage of our 2013 triathlon weekend on the "History" tab of our website: http://www.heartoftherockiestri.ca/history.html

For another perspective and more info on our events, take a look at "BC RACE REVIEW" at:  http://www.bcracereview.com/

Thank you.  We appreciate your help in promoting these events to your members!

Best Regards,

687 [PGBSC] Info Pages Fundraising Starts May 23

Sign Up for Info Pages Fundraiser

Spring is in the air and it's time again to sign up for our last big fundraising opportunity of the season, Info Pages.

This is a great fundraiser for those who enjoy lots of walking and an excellent opportunity for your swimmer(s) to work with you for the family FRL.

Our Info Pages routes are all in central Prince George. This year our rate has gone up to .27 per book. Books will be available for pick-up starting on May 23rd.

Maps are available for all the delivery routes. We have both residential and commercial areas, of various sizes between 300 - 2000 books each.  All deliveries must be completed within 2 - 3 weeks.

This fundraiser works best in teams of 3 people or more. Depending on the number of sign-ups, more than one route may be available per family.

Deadline for signing-up is May 18th.

Please email me at cathie.fundraising@pgbsc.org if you want to participate or have any questions.
